Founding Members Spotlight: Meet the Practitioners of PBC Health & Wellness
This one’s a little different from our usual roundups. Instead of pulling from a community recommendation thread, this spotlight comes straight from the practitioners themselves — members of the Palm Beach County Health & Wellness networking group who introduced their own practices in their own words. As the group grows, we’ll be adding founding members here as they come in. Think of this as your introduction to the people building PBC’s wellness community from the inside.
The Founding Members
Sama Physical Therapy — Samantha Meyers, PT, DPT, CMPT
A one-on-one physical therapy practice owned by Samantha Meyers, who brings 15 years of outpatient PT experience across orthopedic, neurologic and vestibular conditions. She’s a Certified Manual Physical Therapist, certified in dry needling, and LSVT BIG certified — a Parkinson’s-specific treatment protocol designed to improve movement and function.
What sets Sama apart is fully personalized, one-on-one care: every patient works directly with Samantha for the entire visit, in a private treatment room, with treatment adjusted visit to visit around that person’s specific goals — never rushed, never just another number on the schedule.

TransforMed Wellness Co. — Debbie Kaplan-Thompson, FNP-BC
A functional and regenerative medicine practice led by Debbie Thompson, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with advanced training in functional medicine. It’s for adults who know something has changed — energy down, weight harder to manage, hormones off, hair thinning, sleep or mood shifted, joints hurting, skin suddenly looking older — even after being told “everything is normal.” Instead of chasing one symptom at a time, Debbie looks at the bigger picture: hormones, thyroid, metabolism, nutrition, inflammation, genetics and lifestyle.

Be Well Sister — Janis Dionne McDavid
A wellness practice created by Janis D. McDavid, a certified yoga and wellness instructor, vocalist, and teaching artist. Through yoga, meditation, intentional breathwork, movement and sound, Janis creates welcoming experiences that help women slow down, reconnect with themselves, release stress, and make space for greater peace and well-being. Offerings include beginner-friendly yoga, chair yoga and movement, Sacred Breath meditation and breathwork experiences, wellness workshops, and special events.
What makes Be Well Sister unique is Janis’s integration of voice, breath, movement and sound — as a lifelong singer and songwriter, she’s expanding the practice through sound healing, incorporating instruments, meditation, breathwork and the human voice to create restorative experiences for individuals and groups.
